MBMI Appoints John Cook as Executive VP and Interim CFO

| | Vancouver, B.C., May 24, 2011 - MBMI RESOURCES INC. ("MBMI" or the "Company") (TSX-V: MBR) is pleased to announce that, subject to regulatory approval, Mr. John F. Cook has been appointed as Executive Vice President and interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company, effective immediately.
Mr. Cook has held the position of independent director and qualified person of MBMI since March, 2003. A Professional Mining Engineer, Mr. Cook has more than 45 years of extensive experience in all facets of mining development, operations and management. Currently Mr. Cook is the President and CEO of Firebird Resources Inc. and a director of Strategic Resources Inc., Southern Andes Energy Inc., Cerro Resources Inc., Nord Resources Corp., and Homeland Uranium Inc. Past positions include President of San Anton Resources, Chairman of Premier Gold and Chairman of Wolfden Resources Inc.
Mr. Adrian Rothwell, the Company's former Chief Financial Officer, is resigning due to his other significant work commitments. The Board of Directors wish to thank Mr. Rothwell for his contributions to the Company while serving as CFO.
